What are the hot topics right now? A conversation with Deborah Pardes

Are you oversharing❓ Do you know where you stand in your business❓Why go back to the office❓Are you quietly thinking of quitting ❓

In this episode of Every Step podcast, Judith Beck and Krystyna Weston are joined by the very talented and inspirational  Deborah Parades who is the VP of Stories at Swell. This conversation goes in a lot of directions and covers a lot of ground. Put your earphones on and go for a walk,  because this one is perfect for that morning pick-me-up and reality check.

 We explore:

🌟 What is the mood at work? Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

🌟 Are leaders oversharing on social feeds etc, trying to be their authentic selves? Does that work or is it out of control?

🌟 We have all seen many cycles – is this just another one or did it have more of an impact on the work environment? What major changes have taken place?

As VP of Stories and Voices at Swell, an emerging audio platform, Deborah has participated in more than 30K conversations, including serving as the host for conversations with global thought leaders, including inventor Steven Wozniak, director Nicole Holofcener, and famous actor and orator Stephen Fry. Deborah was a featured speaker at SXSW, with more than 1500 participants and a lively Q & A about the future of social audio.

She has hosted corporate podcasts and live public broadcasts including Get Smart Radio and Pause Podcast for Standard Homeopathy. The latter was a series of live, recorded events in Los Angeles that covered the facts and misconceptions of women’s health and menopause. Deborah is also the founder of Artists for Literacy, an educational non-profit that empowers low-level readers with access to complex texts through alternative means.

Deborah is also a talented musician and her Songs Inspired by Literature (SIBL) project secured the support of the California State Library and participation of A-list artists, including Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Tom Waits, and Suzanne Vega.
